How do we keep our mind on God continuously? How do you think about God continuously? That's the subject. So how do you pray without wavering, living constantly with God, without intermediary? These are his words. Very beautiful advice. In the barn of a person who actually practiced this for decades and decades. Like the philosopher Chopinhar, I love it when he says, are your words born of more words or are they born of silence? so here are words which are coming from silence, a holy silence.
"Do not pray for the fulfillment of your wishes, for they may not accord with the will of God. But pray as you have been taught, saying: Thy will be done in me (cf. Luke 22:42). Always entreat Him in this way - that His will be done. For He desires what is good and profitable for you, whereas you do not always ask for this." - Evagrius Ponticus.
