Why Egypt Is Taking This Route to Attract Investors From China
China is the fourth largest creditor to Egypt. It holds more than 5% of the Egyptian external debt, apparently. And who knows, you might end up with loan forgiveness as repetitively done by the Chinese government with African debtors. But then why is it that Egypt is taking this route? The only rationale behind this could be the aim to diversify that portfolio.
