Introduction
This week's Patriot episode is an amazing conversation that I had with Regan Chastain, who writes the weight and healthcare newsletter about her work breaking down the so-called scientific evidence in support of many different diet industry mythologies. Starting Saturday, April 1st, two days after this episode airs, states will resume a process called Medicaid redeterminations, which been paused during the duration of the pandemic so far. And specifically how pandemic policies ending are about to throw our health finance system back into some of its normal destructive chaos.
