The Importance of Legislative Quotas for Women in Society
Karen Landman: It is totally plausible that a lot of the more complicated support for women in society versus how much of this is the legislative quota system. Dylan Matthews: Having legislative quotas is a pretty straightforward policy way to get there, right? Karen Landman: I don't know that the effects sizes here are going to change your mind, but it does sort of argue for airing on the side of increasing women's political representation and power when you don't have much else to distinguish which as a DC voter is often the position I find myself in.
