The City of God - Is There a Final Judgment?
Bible teaches that there's a final judgment and on the bright side, a wonderful kingdom. The knowledge of that means that we don't need to bring perfect justice here and now. We should still work for justice in the present but not just sit back and say ' goddle soded own' And i think what augustine is putting his finger on powerfully is that those are not the only two options,. and there can be a perfect justice that's coming - it doesn't have to happen right away.
