The less ego you have, the more likely you are to want to dominate somebody else and control them. The catholic church is using denial, classic mechanism, denial, to deny the fact that its priests have a problem with petiphelia. That's how it defends itself. It tries to sweep that under the rug. This is true of every single religious institution. Every religion will ultimately die or become so corrupted through evolution that it will be completely and utterly unrecognizable.
