Education - A New Frontier in Education

For almost two millennia, Western education was dominated by a platonic ideal. Education as an elite pastime aimed at discovering eternal truths. Only much more recently has official education been both democratised through the idea of universal access. British education is now in a state of permanent revolution. Should we return to a pedagogic ideal in which we garland the few or reject that as a relic of a simpler time? And why is it that if you want to predict how people are going to vote, looking at their level of education is such a useful guide? I have a hugely eminent panel here to discuss it due to pandemic restrictions.
