Starm doesn't just need to win the election. He needs a mandate with people behind a slate of policies and we don't really have that yet, although there are some policies beginning to emerge. Labor seemed to vex a lot of its people by announcing a normal male or white list of candidates for those possible five by-elections. Was this an unfortunate fluke? Is there a big underlying problem?
