The Importance of Interviews With the Prime Minister

The first interview with Robin Day was at the airport in 1950. The classic is a sort of grabbed interview at the airport when the Prime Minister was there. It's amazing the amount of archive, it's just because of the arriving, coming and going at airports. I love it because of the supplementary questions about the burdens of office,. But they wouldn't say that today, they wouldn't survive it. That was great. And then that was the springboard to Robin Day becoming the first real forensic political interviewer - one of the great stills.
