There's actually a rock formation called the Bemini Road, which is off of the Bahamas. And it predates the first humans arriving in the American continent by about 5,000 years. The biggest person who really believes in the Atlantis thing was a psychic by the name of Edgar Case. He also claimed that evidence for Atlantis would be found in 1968.
