The Power of Power in Evangelical Theology
There's a reckoning going on in evangelical circles right now about the fact that there have been these abuses of power by powerful, often white male evangelical leaders. There is this kind of mannequin view, way of viewing all of reality that's often crops up in evangelical circles. One of the most incredibly effective tools for the folks that I talk about in the book, black evangelicals, feminist evangelicals, is to paint those folks who would have a divergent viewpoint as anti-feminist. So yes, we definitely need to talk about that more.
