In quantu mechanics, if i know precisely what all the gas molecules are doing, it is zero entropy. Whereas classically, that can't happen. So there is a differece betwen quantum and classical information because of entanglement. And my guess would be, there is zero applicability of quantum information theory to accounting,. Because this crucial property of entanglements just doesn't exist in the microscopic world where accounting is relevant. Unless you're really doing accounting with respect to small, quantum, entangled systems, then i don't think it's going to be of any helpwhat ever.
Welcome to the August 2022 Ask Me Anything episode of Mindscape! These monthly excursions are funded by Patreon supporters (who are also the ones asking the questions). We take questions asked by Patreons, whittle them down to a more manageable number — based primarily on whether I have anything interesting to say about them, not whether the questions themselves are good — and sometimes group them together if they are about a similar topic.
