Khaled Ibn Walid and Musa'lamal Qavab
Musa'lamal Qavab most likely didn't have a larger force in Khaled ibn Walid. He was located in his hometown, whereas Khaled had a long supply chain all the back to Medina. The only way that Khaled's army could survive was to live off of the tribes and live off the land that they captured and conquered.
