Cliff Astness, of course, has written academic papers and was one of the discoveries of momentum trading in stocks. But you know, a guy like Joe Soros, he will talk in very different terms. He will talk about trading on boom bust cycles, for instance. When he says he's riding the boom, in some sense, he's being a momentum trader.
