What Are the Other Messianic Pretenders?

Allen Parr: I remember being in the green room sitting next to Craig Evans, who I've just looked up to and admired so much of his work for so long. He was talking about those messianic figures that came and went. Had Jesus not raised from the dead, all indication we have from history is that they would have turned on him,. And he would have been a liar in their eyes. That was such powerful to me because I'd never heard something like that before.
