The Importance of Scaling Models
The idea of like emergent abilities so related to scale and things we're talking about that some in some tasks currently like these mathematical tasks it appears that we might actually need to scale up the model. Do you have any intuition for this? I don't actually even know how to go about it but probably much smarter people than me are figuring it out right now all over the world. Could we get those abilities other ways could we get them to emerge sooner can we make models more efficient at a bigger scale so that everyone can get access to studying them, he says.
