Is Group by a Good Option for Multiple if Statements?

Group by is the way you can aggregate your data across multiple different columns. And so it's very trivial to do a group buy. It definitely doesn't scale very well to multiple if statements, right? But that often means it might be too granular granular for the types of questions you're asking.
