The Debt Ceiling in the United States
The federal government cannot continue to borrow money unless the congress authorizes an increase in the amount of money that the federal government can borrow. We have a continuous deficit like most countries they can't borrow anymore so money comes in about 80 percent of what the u.s. government needs and but more money goes out. There are contingency plans inside the government to cover the debt, it is possible to basically issue new bonds as we redeem old bonds that come do without increasing quote the debt yes the total doesn't change because at some point in french germany the u.k. has got a bigger deficit than we do uh the answer is probably not there are some limits all this.
