The Handcrafted Life of Dick Prenniki
Dick Prenniki moved to Twin Lake, Alaska in 1968 and he built a tiny, impeccably crafted log cabin by hand. After his death the National Park Service wanted to preserve the cabin but nothing lasts long in the Alaskan wilderness. Enter Monroe Robinson, a master craftsman famous in woodworking circles for everything from fine furniture to a much admired hand built log bridge. He painstakingly reproduced every single thing in it down to the patina on ticks axe.
