Your child may feel so overwhelmed by the sense of newness that it does feel threatening. So just notice that and let that go. Now you can connect with him by letting him know that you care about his feeling and his experience. And your prepping for priest school, so you might have started it this week or over the next few weeks. You might acknowledge it's really hard to go to a new setting and learn all the rules and be able to listen and pay attention. That's something that you practise, but that must have been really hard for you when you took these classes. I know that was hard. Let's figure out some ways that we can make it a little easier
