"It does seem a long time ago but then it also sometimes seems like it's just gone by so fast," says Lars Ulrich. "I remember ride the lightning came out and bonded by blood was out there and I was like oh whoa this is just next level." The first album had a big buzz underground people and whatever you know mainstream didn't really care, he adds. Metallica went from nothing to start and really fast but it was a lot of years of struggle according toUlrich.
