The Effects of Diesel Emissions on the Chemistry of Flowers

Honey bees were exposed to diesel fumes in a lab. Five of the 11 most commonly found compounds that make up a flow or a loader were degraded, changed chemically. The Knox and nitrous oxide gases from diesel emissions are actually just fundamentally changing the odors that flowers produce. And it's those gases that are reacting with the volatile chemicals in the air that make up the flow or aloader and changing them.
