I'm a Laboring Mother and I've Had a Baby in the Hospital for a Couple of Weeks Now.
At about 3 or 4am contractions were maybe a couple of minutes apart. So we just went downstairs and one thing that doula had said to us is it can take a while so just sort of relax and ease into things. And she did explain that once we get to the hospital you've got adrenaline pumping and sometimes that can slow things down. Once I had somewhat gotten ready for the hospital I hopped into the shower because the contractions were getting quite close together. The drive to the hospital was horrible which every laboring mother says it's just not a good time at all.
