In your work as a therapist, you work both with a developmental approach and a fruitional approach. I want to clarify one thing when you were describing the developmental approach, you said that you didn't work with the transference style that many therapists do. So why not? Well, I could probably examine my personal history to understand why I don't have ever been attracted to that. But I would say the more useful understanding is that I prefer to work with people as if they are adults who are responsible for learning how to relate to their own experience.
