The editor who commissioned ean berry to cover the sharpville massacre is another fine journalist, donald macintyre. Macintyre was one of the early students on the cardiff journalism course that our great life set up himself. i think tom hopkinson was a brilliant editor and one of the great popular journalists of the twentieth century. And if you look at picture post, which will talk about more, it was intelligent. But tom also knew, i think, that it had to entertain as well as to inform.
