The end is not a real goal, but a postponement that ensures that nothing actually changes. The very fact of the end sustains our nonr pathological relationship to it. It's essentially obsessional. We need to have this sort of excessive relationship with not attaining enjoyment. Enjoyment is structured by a limitation. And i think in this case, we are passively enjoying the end.
