There's a fascinating chart in the book about the relationship between engagement and frequency of feedback from a manager. And what's really interesting is that the folks who tend to work remotely more, when they get less feedback, they tend to have lower engagement levels than people who are in the traditional work place. The opposite is also true, that if you work remotely more and you get frequent feedback, the engagement levels are actually higher than they are in thetraditional work place. We we see the highest engagement and even the pre pandemic for people who more of a kind of a hybrid environment - working on sight, hybrid oror full time remote.

He has led more than 1,000 studies of workplace effectiveness and is the bestselling coauthor of It’s the Manager, 12: The Elements of Great Managing, and Wellbeing: The Five Essential Elements. Gallup’s data shows that only half of employees worldwide know what is expected of that at work, a significant contributor to stress and anxiety.
