Monitoring for CKD progression should be done at least annually, with assessment of the GFR and albiminuria. It is also always important to rule it up by examining for hydroenterphrosis. In patients with G3A to G5 disease, PTH calcium and phosphorus levels should also be serially assessed. Checking for vitamin D deficiency is also important in this population as well.
