i wonder if it's you go to med school then you do your residency you practice and by the time you're actually a practicing doctor i've been doing it for a while. I'm not at all close to the medical practice so i have no idea how that gap comes from. A lot of these tenured professors typically they can be quite dogmatic and resistant to new research because it goes against what they'rewhat they're doing. It really kind of angers me when patients are not being treated the best way possible.
