Lennon's Call for Parliamentarianism
Lennon's call for parliamentarianism is based on the idea that the working class and the masses are already invested in parliamentarianism. While this may have been historically true in many of the bourgeois republics at the time, i want to argue that this might not necessarily be true in the united states. In two thousand 18 a hundred and 56 million citizens were registered to vote in the first place, out of a population of 327 million. Only 60 % turned out to actually vote. This makes it clear, in my opinion, that the average person living in the united States sees elections as really not a central part of their political life. It indicates to me that Elections are so insignificant
