There was a sort of collision between the utopian, the techno utopians of the first ways of technology and a government that was very happy to take their hands off. That laissez-faire approach whilst it's wrought innovation and a huge explosion in economic growth has also wrought addiction to technology. And again, as a rational person, you, me, anybody reading this, we've got to be honest about this and recognize that we've steered too far to the right, if you like.
