Asa, the Son of Abide Jum, Reigned in His Place
David acted as the one who didn't have a God who forgives sins, which is how idolatry is act. So there was that one time when David acted in that idolatry sort of way. We're told that he reigned for 41 years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was... Her name was Ma'akah, the daughter of Abishalom. Now this has been explained in different sorts of ways. Some people say that the Hebrew word there for mother, aim, can possibly mean grandmother. Well, not really. It means mother. But we'll see what this strange character is going to do next week.
