The Role of Civilian Leaders in the Conflict in Africa

Khaled: Civilian leaders do not have a voice. They don't have any say, and I think it's one of the most fatal aspects of these negotiations. Negotiations when they include third parties to resolve these kind of conflicts in Africa require and are determined in terms of the very design of those negotiations. Khaled: The exclusion of civil society organizations is not only problematic for peace, it also fits into the strategy of Buhrhan and Hemeti. That actually excludes their most important rivals, which of course are Sudanese people.
