The story of St. Mark G, J.I., shows that we can do better now than his confessor did in dealing with addictions and addiction problems. He obeyed the right, but continued to raise his family in the faith as he was told by a priest not to come back to confession anymore. Habits are an indication of something either something very good or something very bad. There are plenty of habits we have that we can break without recourse to medical or psychotherapeutic help.
