The Prognosis for a Donated Kidney

Ned Dubner was diagnosed with kidney failure in October of last year. His father wanted to donate his kidney on his behalf but he wasn't a match for him. After trying acupuncture and other treatments, Ned finally found a donor through the hospital's paired-donor program. He is now recovering at home after undergoing transplant surgery this month.
