Kieran was killed in a hit-and-run accident eight years ago. Kieran's parents buried his walkie-talkie with him so that he would have someone to talk to if he ever woke up. "I stopped visiting, and I never talked into it as if he were still alive," she says. But when her high school graduation came around this year, the idea of going to college made her want to visit again.
