If you're just looking at a programme on paper, you have no idea for sure what it's going to do run time. In python, you can put throwan if statement around a function definition and not know whether that function's even defined er. And obviously that means auto completing later down the file. You genuinely don't know what isn't isn't in scope, which means that you are always guessing. I mean, actually, many people these days use something like v s code, which uses quite loose code completion,. because v s codet philosophical rence here. So wild tangents, surelots go for this philosophical differencein there are basically two types of code editor.
