"I wake up every day and I am just so surprised and relieved to be doing the work that I get to do," says Julian Zelizer, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. "It really truly is one of the best places to be," adds Zelizer, who was intimidated by his first boss in law school. The New York-based think tank focuses on policing criminal justice; it's also an advocate for urbanism.
