Is autism spectrum disorder now the term, and is that taken to encompass the whole spectrum? Yeah, that's right. I said earlier in our conversation, I don't use the word disorder. That's just a matter of choice,. A lot of autistic people who are also expressing that preference. They're saying, just call it autism. The word disorder sounds like it's something negative.
