I wanted to ask you what kind of composer you consider yourself to be. And then i read an interview you did with molly sheridan on you music box, and explained that while you consider yourself a classical music composer, that does not preclude you from working within a variety of musical generism. You stated, it's essentially like being from somewhere. I feel like i'm very proudly from the classical tradition. It's like being from nebraska. If you're from there, it doesn't mean that you can't have a productive life somewhere else. The notion of your genre being something that you have actively perform, i think is pretty vile.
