Creatine and Kidney Disease

Usually I'm thinking about anatomic reasons. So particularly if it's a patient that didn't have a lot of prenatal care, usually an ultrasound is my first step. A baby who has a creatinine of 0.7, I feel pretty good about where things are at with a normal renal ultrasound and nothing else that's really out of place. If the creatinine's 2.5 and the kidneys look small or they look dysplastic, then we start to think about what do we need to do for this kid.
