What Was It Like for Georgians in the 1990s?
The Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic had some of the most wealth was one of the best off territories in the entire USSR. And then when the Soviet Union collapsed, it saw the steepest decline in terms of wealth, GDP, and living standards. Georgia to this day still has not returned to its 1989 GDP.
