You've got to try multiple different approaches and then see how they stuck up against your measures of success. There won't be a perfect way to do it, i think that's really important to stress. I don't think ther's a way, a short cut to the right strategy from the beginning. You've got to look at the different ways of slicing it, and then be very honest with the business fokes in the room.
