In a healthy relationship, you're constantly vocalizing and articulating what needs to be protected and preserved. The one person sees all sorts of new possibilities, and the other person says, ok, let's think about those. So if you are passionate about preserving some sort of safety net, is that progressive, or is that conserving? And yet that's a terribly conservative idea.
