This month, the guardian newspaper announced that it had reached one million paying subscribers. What makes this accomplishment especially incredible is that it did so without the use of a paywall. Could more publishers replicate this model? To answer this question, i spoke to ben cohen, the editor of a politics news letter called the banter. We discuss the limits of a pay wall free subscription model and whether it's too good to be true.
