557 - Eric Czuleger (Traveler to Non-Existent Countries)
Tangentially Speaking with Christopher Ryan
Is That the End of the Middle Class in the United States?
Capital doesn't care about borders capital will just go to wherever we can get the the lowest price point for labor And send it back to people wherever they live. While we had this really robust middle class in the 50s 60s and 70s that has been Siloed away into other countries where the the price for labor is lower. Suddenly our GDP looks great because one steve jobs makes a trillion dollars Right and it's just kind of a bullshit measure for like saying how good we're doing Yeah, calling america the richest country in the world is absurd. Denmark is far richer if you're looking at the quality of life of the average person Well, and I yeah.
