Being immune to the siren song of other people's success is so powerful and important that it's practically impossible to do well financially without it over time. If you remove FOMO from the equation, think about what's left though. You only care about your own goals. And you don't really need much else than that to do well over time. But then you need to keep your expectations in check relative to those numbers or else you are never going to be satisfied with what you have.
