Taking the Good in the First Place

The way the brain forms structure is not the way you install songs in an iPod. We have to have the experience and sustain the experience for it to sink into our brain. There's three basic steps with an optional bonus step if you want. So we might notice we're already feeling caring or kind but then deliberately create that positive experience by doing something like calling someone, saying "may you be safe" The other two steps are intensity and duration.
