Early German Printing Presses
The earliest known reference in any written document to the existence of a printing press comes from mintz in 14 53. printer named johann gutenberg was sued in court, and records refer to him having a printing press among his assets. So traditionally, for many years, people have referred to gutenberg as the inventor of the printing press. We don't really know if that's true, but he's the early, earliest one we know who had one. And these early german printing presses could produce printed documents that looked clear and crisp enough,. almost as if they were hand composed.
