The story was that i was studying law and german at university but realized towards the end of my studies that i did not want to be a lawyer. When i was faced with a japanese term that had no equivalent concept in the u k, that's what really triggered my interest. I think my family were a little bit shocked, because they thought i might become a lawyer, but instead i ran away to Japan.
